Welcome to the Office of Sponsored Programs and Faculty Development at UW Oshkosh
We provide a supportive environment for faculty and academic staff to pursue their research and teaching endeavors. Our office provides opportunities for internal funding support and external grant funding management. We also provide administrative support and oversight of all areas of research compliance.
In thinking about how you are going to obtain a grant or how to handle a research or creative project, there are a number of factors to consider. The Office of Sponsored Programs and Faculty Development (OSPFD) can guide you through these considerations
The UW Oshkosh Faculty Development Program includes a variety of programs to support a broad range of research, teaching and other professional development activities. The program consists of ten components listed below. All components require a proposal from a faculty or academic staff member and all proposals (with the exception of Small Grants) are recommended or not recommended for funding to the Provost and Vice Chancellor by the Faculty Development Board.
UW Oshkosh is dedicated to advancing a culture of ethics, integrity and compliance that is consistent with federal regulations, state laws, UW system and institutional policies. The Office of Sponsored Programs and Faculty Development is responsible for oversight, policy and procedure development, training, monitoring, and administration of the following research compliance areas:
- Human subjects research
- Animal use for research or teaching
- Research or teaching activities involving recombinant DNA and biological materials
